My Wishlist For Santa

Hi Santa,

I don’t know whether you really exist or not…but I have to write this letter otherwise Miss Cole will put a zero in my report card anyway I am not doing great academically…

To be frank I have stopped believing in fairy tales and miracles long time ago…but Miss Cole asked us to write a letter on My Wishlist for Santa…so I am left with no option…I will not take much of your time and get straight to the point…

If you can or you really are capable of fulfilling anyone’s wishlist…then I want my parents back whom I lost in 9/11 attack in USA when I was only two months old…I don’t want to be an orphan…I don’t want to live with any of my relative they all are behind my money…I don’t want to go to school because my parents are never there to pick me up…I don’t want to participate in any function or school activity because there’s no one sitting in the audience looking for me…I don’t want to do anything in life because I have no one with whom I can share my happiness or achievements…I want to sit and wait for death to come and take me…can you understand my pain? Can you see how pathetic my life is?

Nobody wants me, I am a burden for my family, for my teachers infact for this world too…I have no friends…why?…well they are always talking about what they did with their parents? What they got on their birthday?…I feel so alone that I just sit in the corner where no one can find me…If you are really real then please I want my parents back…I swear I will never ask you for anything else…if you are real then fulfil My Wishlist too…

I guess this will do…Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year…

Music to My Ears

Indians and majority of Indian Companies don’t believe in the concept of Weekend…alrighty…no need to faint…and I am not exaggerating…it’s cent percent true 😎

We really don’t have concept of weekend…for us weekend comprises of only one day and that is SUNDAY 😦 …Saturday is working and usually its fullday :/  …we believe in exploiting the human resources in best possible way irrespective of the post and package…

I work in an International School for 54 hours a week…how could it be possible ‘you are just a teacher’…read well I am a teacher BUT in an International School 😉  so we are breaking the leg :p …it’s a pure corporate culture…accept in BIG Corporations, we do enjoy weekends because you get two days off in weekend package 😀

Now out of the blue, when my coordinator announce in the million dollar staff room ‘Tomorrow (Saturday) is Holiday’ that’s music to my ears…and if they say ‘Diwali Vacation or Summer Vacation would be available for teachers’ then its sheer poetry to my ears…

Yes yes yes…no promotion, no good news, no jackpot rings the bell…the way a day off does…after busting our asses for an entire week…we do need a two day break…where we can relax and have some good time with family and friends…

I hope our HRD Ministry realizes the true value of Human Resources…and make two days off a must in a week…I wish ek ke saath dusra free hota 😉 …Love ❤ AARYA

Meri MAGGI…

Festive Season is here…and Indians got the Best Diwali Gift…Our Maggi or shall I say MERI MAGGI just the way Nestle like to address it’s one of the most popular product in India…MAGGI 2 MINUTE NOODLES…is back on the rack…

Few months ago Nestle MAGGI got into huge controversy…Food Safety Regulators from one of the state of India reported that MAGGI 2 MINUTES NOODLES contains high levels of lead and MSG (monosodium glutamate)…now this created a huge fiasco in country overnight…and gradually Government banned MAGGI across India…However, various lab tests were conducted in various parts of the world and finally MAGGI 2 MINUTES NOODLES were declared safe 😀

90s Generation of India has been brought up with Maggi…in our school days, we didn’t have international Franchises like McD, Pizza Hut, or Subway…all these Big Names walked in our life when we joined college…but it was too late…our generation already fell in love with Maggi…our quick bite was MAGGI…food is yuck, we had MAGGI…mom wasn’t well, we had MAGGI…hungry at 2am, we had MAGGI…afternoon munching was MAGGI

I know I must be sounding crazy…but it’s true…the world can call us MAGGI GENERATION…we have our crazy and fun loving MAGGI STORIES

When MAGGI was banned it was 90’s kids who got hurt the most…for us it was a huge loss…and today’s generation can’t associate themselves with MAGGI because they have loads of other International Options which we never had…

Today’s market is filled with tonnes of yummy options from chocolates to frozen foods…still my tongue palates crave for Maggi…it’s like you really can’t get over things that you had in your childhood…it’s a way of revisiting those memory lanes…those Me & Maggi Stories

I am so Maggi Generation…Love ❤ AARYA

TAMASHA…duniya ek rang manch hai

World is a stage and we all are actors…

Yesterday I watched Tamasha…for two reason, firstly I wanted to get out of shock (and severe migraine) which Prem Ratan Dhan Payo gave me…secondly, Tamasha is Imtiaz Ali movie so you can’t afford to miss it in theatre… Imtiaz Ali is a director who is capable of highlighting the complexity of human character…his characters always revolves around individuals trying to find out real selves…

Tamasha is also a story of an individual who loses his real self by living according to the social conventions expected of him…Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone played the lead role in the movie…It’s a story which tells don’t pretend to be someone which you are not…don’t try to change yourself so you can fit in the society…don’t crush your dreams due to family pressure…no need to follow bhed chaal (rat race) as our parents and society expect us to do…just follow your heart…

Yes, this is exactly the story of Tamasha from my viewpoint…I will not say Tamasha can beat other Imtiaz Ali movies like Jab We Met or Love Aaj Kal or Rockstar…no it can’t… Tamasha has lots of flaws…loose script, average dialogues…lack of depth… …it fails to impact audience…once out of theatre you will not be able to recall any single dialogue or scene…yes locations are awesome, Corsica is surely a place worth visiting…Deepika looked beautiful, you would feel like stealing her wardrobe…still movie fails to create moments…but it will definitely leave you with a thought…

It takes lot of courage to follow your dreams…and if your dreams are offbeat…and you live in a society where everyone expect you to follow the rat race and live a robo life…then it requires guts to break the pattern and create your own set of rules…and believe me it’s never going to be easy…people would be harsh and mean…but years later when you would be enjoying the fruits of your dreams and guts…people will admire your fearless determination…

Do you have guts to live life on your terms?

Can you live for your dreams?

Can you leave everything for your dreams?

Can you be your true self forever?

I am following my dreams…fighting with family and society almost every day…breaking the pattern and preconceived notions…well I am leaving you with a thought…would love to know your opinion…that’s me signing off for today 🙂
